Benefits of playing flag football

Flag football is a fast-growing, inclusive game that helps boys and girls of all ages learn the game, stay active and develop confidence, teamwork and athletic skills.

No direct physical contact: Flag football is a non-contact sport , meaning there is no sliding, bumping, blocking, covering or knocking the ball out of someone's hands during play. As such, players do not have to wear heavy protective equipment such as helmets or shoulder pads. Instead, children wear belts with flags attached to them, which opponents try to pull off. The lack of aggression on the field or direct physical contact creates a friendly atmosphere where children can learn to have fun and develop their sports skills without the aspect of physical contact.

Offers inclusivity: Flag football is a great sport for both boys and girls of all ages - even the younger ones. There are no height or weight restrictions, making it a game that anyone can play.

Fosters Versatility: Flag football supports all skill levels and sporting priorities - from fun competition to learning the fundamentals of American football.

Promotes physical fitness: Flagówka encourages physical activity and healthy movement, ensuring your child spends time away from the screen.

Introduces Flag and American Football: Flag football provides a natural entry point into the world of football, creating opportunities for your child to learn, engage and develop in the sport.

Teaches Teamwork: Flag football instills the crucial value of teamwork and teaches your child how to play and work well with others.

Builds Confidence: Flag football equips your child with the skills to build and increase their confidence levels both on and off the field.

Instilling Sportsmanship: Flag football teaches your child what it looks like to be a good athlete and team player, emphasizing what it means to win and lose with honor.

HOW TO PLAY FLAG GAME
Whether you're new to the game or looking to brush up on the rules of flag football, this guide will teach you the ins and outs of flag football.

Flag football field

A flag football field is shorter than a standard American football field, measuring 30 yards wide by 70 yards long, with two 10-yard end zones. To prevent dangerous situations when playing flag football in tight spaces, no-running zones are located 5 yards in front of the end zone and on either side of the midfield line. If the ball is placed in or inside a no-running zone, the offense must pass to score a first down or a touchdown.

RACES

In NFL FLAG, players can avoid defenders by turning with the ball, but they can't jump. The person receiving the ball can also throw from behind the line of scrimmage. Although there is a designated quarterback on the field, other players can also pass the ball, which increases the dynamics of the game.

The quarterback cannot run with the ball unless it is passed to him in the backfield. The quarterback's offense must be at least seven yards from the line of scrimmage. There are zones where the offense must throw—five yards from each end zone and on the sides of the field. If an offensive player loses a flag while running, his feet determine where the ball is planted.

CATCHING

In flag football, anyone can catch a pass, including the quarterback, after the ball has been passed to him. Players must have one foot in the field when catching.

APPLICATIONS

All passes must be forward and caught behind the line of scrimmage. Quarterbacks have seven seconds to release the ball or the play is stopped.

Interceptions are allowed and possession of the ball changes at the moment of an interception.
